I was driving on the highway while driving at approximately 60 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle started to shake and failed to operate as needed. I was able to navigate the vehicle off the roadway. The vehicle was towed to a dealership where the vehicle was diagnosed that the piston rings needed to be replaced. I have 59,000 original miles on it! I was told by the service advisor that it was common in Hondas with v6 due to the Ecco or vcm. I found out extended warranty was given to owners, I didn't. I want to know why I didn't and why I never received a recall? I'm not spending $6000 for something that was a terrible design.
