I had my engine inspected, and the attached photographs depict that the original pistons that shipped with my car caused scoring to the cylinder walls which is causing metal pieces to collect in my engine. In addition, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. acknowledged that the pistons need to be repaired in my car, and quoted the repair using an updated design, so they are aware of the issue and have knowledge of it.
