The tire started leaking air and the severe crack was found while mounting the spare tire. The crack was present on the inside of the tire and therefore not visible until the wheel was removed. This crack was on its way to a catastrophic failure of the tire. The crack was found at 23500 miles on a tire with claimed treadlife of 60,000. This was the tire sold with my new 2019 Tacoma: Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar 265/70R16.
