It would not allow her to go any faster than 40 mph. She pulled over to let the engine cool some and continued to have the problem. When we consulted the Nissan dealer, they said it was a \u201csafety mechanism\u201d to keep the car from overheating. I certainly don\u2019t see how it is safe to be forced to drive a speed limit too slow for the interstate. Why is this not recalled?
