I just read that GM was doing a recall on the Transmission Control Module but it does not include my car, which is what failed on my car at 19,000 miles.     My trip was interrupted, we spent two days paying for hotel & rental car in Springfield, MO and now my car is fixed with new TCU in Springfield, but I live in DFW area.  If my car had a recall I would have had it fixed before our trip and this all could have been avoided.
