I took it to GMC and they said the bearings are miss threaded in the transmission and it is causing problems with the sputtering and control of the car. They said this is a known problem in GMC but they do not have a recall on the car or the parts to repair it. This is a safety risk because if the transmission is slipping then I could loose control of the car and crash. It can also damage other parts to the car.
