The automatic locks and handles do not release the door.   This is not related to any accident.  The issue developed suddenly and poses a huge issue for exit from the car during an emergency.  The issue is reported on the internet by multiple Genesis and Hyundai owners and appears to be a known issue with no action taken to resolve by Genesis/Hyundai.  There were no warnings or lights indicating a problem.  The Genesis call number says they are not aware of the issue.
