While driving my check, engine light came on, and I was given a message on the dash that engine power was reduced. I was only able to drive the car 30 to 45 miles an hour to get home.    I have not taken the car to the mechanic yet, but will do so when they open on Monday.  I was in a heavily congested area with many cars passing me at great speeds.  I connected a code reader to my automobile, and came up with the code P2138. After doing research, it is my understanding that General Motors knows of this problem and has not addressed it at this time.
