Mechanic also told me he has been replacing quit a few on equinox lately. Called cheverlot for assistance  after looking online and seeing there was a special bulletin issued a while back. The representative never informed me of it during our call nor did they acknowledge it was a problem. The Mechanic explained the dangers of it going out while driving and I think it's a pretty dangerous situation to have happen while driving.
