Internet search showed either faulty gas cap, I replaced it hoping that would fix it, or broken plastic elbow on top of fuel pump on drivers side gas tank.   Web sites also noted GM covered this safety recall and fix for 10 years.  Well, they didn't tell people not to buy this car with a serious defect that could burn down their garage and home! I bought it used with 9200 miles last Feb for almost 52K and clean carfax. I took it to my local Chevrolet dealer, Durant in Granbury, TX 1/22/2023, they called back saying the recall only lasted 10 years and they won't cover any of the $3,600+ repair cost. Can you help?
