The car stopped in the intersection.  She was able to shut it off and it restarted so that she could pull into a parking lot.  Car was towed to the dealer.  The car has 74,000 miles on it and we were told it needs a new transmission and that it would cost $6900 to repair.  I called GM and filed a claim with them in hopes they would offer some assistance.  I was told nothing could be done.
