This happens while slowing, coasting, or slow accelerations. This has caused an immediate safety issue as you lose control of the car, especially when the shift into neutral is a hard shift. This hard shift will cause you to loose traction on wet, icy, or snowy surfaces. Although this is a known issue for this model and year, the vin for my specific vehicle shows of no recalls yet the problem persists. I am listing a date of yesterday as this is the most recent occurrence, though I have experienced it for the 2 years that I have owned the vehicle and it has been reported to the used dealership that I purchased it from. There is no longer a Maserati dealer or service center in Alaska.
