This issue resulted in sparking and smoking inside of the car while the front electrical defrost was turned on. This issue could have easily resulted in catastrophic events had we not realized exactly what was happening. There were no warnings of the sytem being in failure. The issue is also apparently not covered under the vehicle warranty and now will cost out of pocket to replace something that I had no control over.
