After a quick check for recalls. there are none for this. I did find that GM has a special service notice for this issue for vehicles located in Canada. Apparently, what happen is there are pockets in the casting of the unit that hold road debris & road salt that will cause the case to corrode and leak. The vehicle was taken to my local Chevrolet dealer & the replaced the differential at a cost of $2901.88. I contact aced Chevrolet customer service and they said it was not covered in any way. I find it strange that it is covered for cars registered in Canada but not in the us. This could be a major safety concern if the differential were to fail at highway speed it could cause lack of control and possibly a crash.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2016","productMake":"CHEVROLET","productModel":"TRAX","manufacturer":"General Motors, LLC"}]}]}
