To date I have received no written notice from GOAz or Irbit of the safety recall related to cracking/defective rims. I only learned of this 2 days ago through a newsletter E-Mail from Ural USA. These rims have been the subject of two NHTSA recalls: [XXX] (2013) and [XXX] (2022). When I had new tires put on the bike last month I noticed the rim on the sidecar wheel had hairline cracks throughout the inner diameter and one of the spoke bays had begun to pull apart from the rim (see photos). I had the spare wheel, whose rim appears intact, mounted to the sidecar. I inspected the rims on the pusher and front wheels -- they also appear intact. My main concern is getting these defective rims replaced, but I am also concerned that Ural never notified me of this problem. If I had not noticed the cracks on the sidecar wheel rim and switched it out with the spare wheel losing that wheel at 60 MPH could have been fatal.
