When entering a sweeper turn, the steering wheel locked up completely and could only be moved about 1cm either direction.   If this had happened on any mild turn this would have resulted in a crash. The steering wheel locked up entirely at 50mph.   I was able to slowly get the car to the side of the road utilizing the 1cm of freeplay in the steering wheel. Steering would not return until I restarted the car. No lights appeared on the dash before, during, or after the incident.  Component that failed was 56320-K9000 Power Pack Assembly. Dealer replaced this under warranty after the ECU revealed the component had failed. The component is no longer available for inspection.
