This results in situations where significant force must be applied to the wheel to create a direction change. It has resulted in sudden movements after \u201cbreaking\u201d the steering wheel free from its \u201cstuck\u201d position in the middle. It even affects driver assist systems, which will also demonstrate difficulty managing a steering wheel that gets \u201cstuck\u201d in the middle.  The cold and wet seems to make it worse. However this has been an ongoing problem for the last several thousand miles and is definitely getting worse as the miles go by.  I have taken the car to the dealership and was informed this is a known issue with no available repair.
