This can cause battery drain/dead, possibly leaving me stranded in the dangerous situation. This has been unknown problem that is been refused by Mazda to create a recall. Right now it’s the car not acknowledging it’s in park because of a faulty switch, that Mazda clearly knows about and has had tons of complaints about and is well documented with NHTSA. How bad does this need to get before Mazda puts out a recall for all vehicles affected. Eventually, it will never be able to go to park and I may get in my car to drive it and it starts off in the wrong shift the wrong and I end up in a car accident. I’m sure Mazda wouldn’t want any crashes, fires, injuries or deaths on their hands do this well established faulty switch that they refused to recall.
