I was able to pull over onto the shoulder and turn the vehicle off. The engine would not turn over and the brake pedal locked into position, rendering the vehicle immobile. The check engine light also came on at this point.  The vehicle was towed and ultimately repaired at the local GMC dealership, where the fuel pump was replaced.  The 2022 GMC Terrain already has a recall in place due to the fuel pump module not providing sufficient fuel to the engine, resulting in an engine stall (23V013000), the effects of which sound very similar to what occurred. However, this vehicle\u2019s VIN was not included in the recall.  We are very lucky that this failure did not result in a crash, and that no further incident occurred while we were stranded on the side of the highway during the night, waiting for a tow.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2022","productMake":"GMC","productModel":"TERRAIN NA","manufacturer":"General Motors, LLC"}]}]}
