The sequence was three beeps, then red warning message on instrument panel, then immediate hard braking to almost a dead stop. There was no traffic ahead of me or behind me. Had there been someone behind me they would have hit me. Had I been around cross traffic expecting me to clear, they would have hit me. Two Nissan dealers have inspected the forward emergency braking system and found nothing. Nissan North America will not authorize any additional work unless a dealer finds a problem.
