Last night was normal dry conditions.  I had cruise control and audi presense set to early detection.  Suddenly the brakes engaged hard for a split second and then stopped.  While this happened the cockpit display said \"Audi pre sense\" with a red circle icon below.  After this the vehicle continued to drive without further incident. This is a common problem in various Audi models that would present various dangers.
