We were passing a tractor trailer on the interstate and at 75 mph the transmission shifted into low gear all by itself. We never went into passing gear just accelerating. The vehicle nosedived, rpm\u2019s went up, blew the transmission fluid out all over the exhaust with major smoke, threw us into the dash, and went to about 5 mph all in about .5 seconds leaving us in the middle of the interstate in 5:00 traffic. Tractor trailers stopped and let us get the vehicle to the side .If my daughter had not been behind us I\u2019m sure one of the tractor trailers would have hit us because my brake lights didn\u2019t come on because I never hit the brakes. The vehicle is sitting in my driveway where it was towed.
