I let it be and just paid for the hood to be done, thinking that would be the end of it; but, shortly after that, the trunk started peeling all over, and keeps getting worse and worse; and, more recently, the sides of the car are peeling too and just getting worse and worse. I tried contacting Nissan\u2019s headquarters about this, giving them all of this information, and they told me there\u2019s nothing they can do because the warranty expired in 2016 (I didn\u2019t even purchase the vehicle until 2020), and that it doesn\u2019t matter that the body shop owner said that this is a very common problem, so I\u2019m on my own for the cost of repainting the entire car, even though it\u2019s clearly a manufacturing issue. I even tried contacting my local Nissan, and two workers there even also said that this is a problem they\u2019ve seen several times, so that they also believe it\u2019s a manufacturing issue, but that their hands are tied. At this point, I\u2019m not sure what else to do, but it does seem entirely unfair that consumers \u2014 apparently LOTS of consumers \u2014 are having to foot the bill for something that is seemingly Nissan\u2019s fault. Since it\u2019s a manufacturing issue, I don\u2019t see why there isn\u2019t, nor why there shouldn\u2019t be, a recall over it.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2014","productMake":"NISSAN","productModel":"MURANO","manufacturer":"Nissan North America, Inc."},{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"9999","productMake":"TBD","productModel":"TBD","manufacturer":"ODI Demo Co"}]}]}
