I have had the system suddenly brake from over 70mph down to between 50 and 55mph, then begin to accelerate again. This has always happened in good daylight and clear weather. Fortunately, it has not happened when I had a vehicle close following me. Recently this happened three times on a three hour highway trip, and once again the following morning, also on a highway.
