It had somehow deployed. I was not in an accident. The little black pieces that are apparently supposed to hold a pin were completely broken. I don't know if it is because it has been so hot where I live or what, but if someone had been in that seat, they could have gotten injured. I never heard a sound of it happening, so it must have been when I was parked.
