The problem: The charging port flap does not open, and therefore, the vehicle cannot be charged.   I checked online, and there are many, many cases of this happening in VW vehicles; it is not restricted to EVs.   Why is this a safety issue? Imagine you are in the middle of the night or under inclement weather conditions while going somewhere and you stopped to charge the battery. Since charging port does not open, you cannot charge the battery. You are stranded, stressed and  exposed to potential crime, bad weather and aggravation of health problems that can lead to stroke and death. Why does VW use this defective charging or fueling port flap in spite of countless incidents of its not opening? Please issue a recall and force VW to install a working fuel port flap.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"VOLKSWAGEN","productModel":"ID.4","manufacturer":"Volkswagen Group of America, Inc."}]}]}
