Later, on the drive to work, the battery light came on and I had received a \"reduced battery capacity\" message on the display. The truck has the hybrid system with less than 9k miles. Emailing the dealership, they did not claim anything is wrong. Two weeks earlier no sound came out of the speakers and that resolved itself. So, I suspected something with software and disconnected the 12 V battery for 5 minutes and the fault went away. It is troubling that the vehicle shifts into park.
