I made an appointment for approximately 2 weeks on June 5. When I arrived I was told the part was never ordered. Coconut Creek Hyundai said they would order the part and call me in a few days. After not hearing for 2 weeks I went back to Hyundai and was told the part hadn’t come in and to go home and they would call me in a few days. After several more weeks I went back and was told the part still hadn’t arrived. It was about a month and a half and still no part. The service manager told me that Hyundai USA was placing a low priority on my model car and manufacturing that part last after all the other models. It’s now 4 months later and I have never received any call from Coconut Creek Hyundai. When this first happened I contacted both Coconut Creek Hyundai and Hyundai USA. Hyundai USA said they couldn’t interfere with the local dealer even though it’s a Federal Safety Recall! Hyundai Coconut Creek basically blew me off. I think this is deliberate on the part of Hyundai USA to service higher cost vehicles before lower cost. They are playing games with my personal safety and that of my car. They are deliberately defying the recall! I believe whatever compliance procedures you have in place should be enforced to the fullest including fines if necessary. Again they are defying the recall and putting my safety and other Accent owners in jeopardy simply for profits.
