The car's driver display (a warning banner) indicated that I had insufficient battery and that I should stop the vehicle.  The battery was at 65%.  I coasted vehicle to right shoulder of road.  Steering was difficult.  This area of highway access was under construction and I had a very limited space to stop car.  The car then lost drive and stopped.  Although I was in a narrow shoulder area, there were cars traveling behind me in ramp area.  I put on hazard lights as a warning of my stopped vehicle so I would avoid getting hit. I waited 1 minute to re-start vehicle.
