When I sit in the front passenger seat the indicator light always shows that the airbags are on.  The car was taken to the selling dealer (Pinebelt Subaru, Lakewood, NJ) who stated that the weight sensor for the front passenger seat was calibrated properly and they could not adjust it for my wife's weight.  Since this also happens with my 2024 Subaru Legacy and also occurred with my friend's 2023 Subaru Outback, i believe that Subaru has a problem with lightweight passengers on all of it's vehicles.
