Shifter and connector were stating \"Place car in park\" even when car was turned off. Radio would not shut off & would continue to beep. The part was on back order for over 1 month. Car could not be driven. Transmission light would be on display. Friday, Nov 29th received call part was finally in. Car has been fixed HOWEVER since this is not a recall the monies are coming out of my 87yr old fathers acct. This car only has 24,000 miles. I'm told by dealer unless a recall we have to pay. The dealer, Sid Dillon in Blair, NE had many cars with this same issue. The shifter & connector were bad. Is there a way a recall can be done on this issue?
