There are many on-line reports of this issue going back several years for the Genesis G80 sedan.  It appears this is NOT covered under the 10 yr/100,000 mile warranty and is only covered by the 5 yr/60,000 mile warranty.  In my case, this part failed almost 5 years to the day.  It is unreasonable that the owner should get stuck with a $1000+ repair bill for a part that has a well known failure reported over and over.
