I paid full price repair ($ 1,775.21)  and contacted Chevrolet to see if they would offer any assistance I was under the power-train mileage but over on time. They offered and I accepted 50% of the repair cost but no towing. After some research I discovered there was a recall  (18V358000) for an erlier model  for a similar problem . The recall was for the fuel pump separating from the base which could damage the fuel line and create a fire hazard.
