When this happens while I am driving it puts me and others at risk because I have reduced my ability to steer. I have not had this diagnosed by the dealer, but I will soon. I have not had the component inspected by anyone at this time. When this occurs both the Power Steering Assist and Traction Control warning lights com on. I found a recall for this exact problem on the  year and model of this truck. (Recall # N202325410) I called both my local dealer and GM Assistance and was told that my vehicle was not part of the recall. I am having the same problem that the safety recall is for and somehow my vehicle is not covered.
