This is a known defect that Ford supposedly fixed years ago but apparently was not a proper fix. The vehicle was taken to Medford Ford, Medford NJ on 3/31/2025 where the dealer said transmission should be replaced my expense for $8500 plus tax and the cost of estimate of approximately $202.63. They did not offer an option to repair an otherwise perfectly functioning transmission.  This makes me feel like a very unsafe approach.
