The electrical malfunction could have easily started a fire and glass flying around the cab a highway speeds could definitely be hazard.  I called the dealership and they were unconcerned and gave me a quote to replace it.  the dealer or the aftermarket glass replacement company have not heard of it happening.  I did find a recall in Canada.
