I have had 3 harness replacements on driver side. 2 harness replacements on passenger side, and a module replacement just 2 years ago.  This failure causes my instrumentation to shut off, turn signals not work, and shuts off cruise control when in use.  I have read outher more extreme cases like engine compartment fires or car shutting off while driving.  I believe all these should be considered safety issues.
