I have owned it for 5 years and it hasn't worked for at least 3-4 of those years. I don't know if it has been replaced... However, for something that is a safety concern, such as the airbags, I would think that it would work longer than 1-2 years... if it has been previously replaced. I can't find any records of it. The air bag lights have been on for a few years; I thought it was normal.
