It showed no problems before hand. I\u2019ve heard from multiple people that this is a big issue with the 6.2l gmc Sierra engines. The mechanic also stated it\u2019s there biggest problem. The repair cost are $4,000 - $6000 dollars and the have to pull the whole engine and just fixing those two things. The cost of an engine is $7000 for a used with 100,000 miles and to me it would just happen again in around 60,000 miles or less. For a new engine non oem so an off brand it would cost $8,00 - $10,000 just for the engine. Almost as much as the truck cost not including the labor.
