HOWEVER, THE DO NOT MENTION THE STEERING WHEEL ALSO RETRACTS INTO THE DASHBOARD TRAPPING THE DRIVERS LEGS UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL - THIS WOULD CAUSE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE (POSSIBLY FATAL) FOR THE DRIVER TO EXIT THE VEHICLE IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. This feature cannot be over-ridden and is activated as soon as the driver's door opens. I have contacted BMW Board of Directors and Senior Management and they refuse to change this feature. The retraction makes NO sense and benefits no-one and nothing. It is a design fault and dangerous.  A simple two line code adjustment in their IDrive 8.5 Operating system would prevent the retraction and fix this issue. This could be down-loaded to vehicles in one of  their next remote software upgrades.  IGNORING SAFETY ISSUES PROVIDED BY THEIR CUSTOMERS IS NOT AN OPTION.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"BMW","productModel":"X7","manufacturer":"BMW of North America, LLC"}]}]}
