I received a notice in February of this year from Lincoln regarding our vehicle (VIN [XXX] )- a 2021 Lincoln Corsair Plug-In Hybrid. The notice instructs us to cease charging the high voltage battery until further notice. The recall notification states that further charging the battery could result in a vehicle fire. The notice finally states that a resolution and parts will be available during the second quarter, which is now. Unfortunately, to date I have heard nothing from Lincoln. As we are both retired , my wife and I purchased a Plug-In Hybrid to help save money on gasoline. For the past three (going on four) months, we have had to pay for gasoline for every mile we have driven. Additionally each day that passes is another day less we have remaining on the original warranty. It would be greatly appreciated if you could respond to this request letting us know when this issue will be resolved. We also ask that Lincoln be obligated to extend a cash penalty to cover the cost of the last four months of gasoline purchases, and finally, to extend the manufacturer's warranty on the battery components to a lifetime warranty - in order for us to feel comfortable in the resolution offered to fix the issue.
