The dealer refused to service the vehicle and the contact had the vehicle towed to a second dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the recall repair was performed; however, the transmission had been damaged and needed to be replaced and was not covered under the recall.
