(Angela Krause Ford in Alpharetta, GA) with the known 10R80 10-speed transmission issue (completely destroyed transmission and drum) and I now must receive a new one. This issue started around 43k miles, but I had no idea of the transmission design flaw that exists.   While driving this Memorial Day Weekend (2025) from Atlanta to VA with my wife and twin girls, we were nearly rear ended by a tractor trailer because the transmission would not let me speed up for several seconds. It wasn\u2019t able to select a gear. When it finally did, the tractor trailer was up to my rear bumper. This was extremely scary and could have been life threatening.  There must be a recall issued for this flawed Ford transmission that is in F-150s, Explorers, etc. built before 2022. For owners of Fords that are out of warranty and are expected to pay for this repair is unacceptable. This will financially ruin many people and worse, will lead to a death or more at some point.
