The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact slowly drove the vehicle to the residence five streets away. The contact exited the vehicle and performed an inspection of the vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the front passenger\u2019s side rotor was red-hot. The contact poured water on the rotor and steam filled the air. A mobile mechanic was contacted, and the vehicle was diagnosed with a seized brake chamber. The contact was informed that the electric parking brake needed to be replaced with an unknown part. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V541000 (Parking Brake); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The manufacturer confirmed that the recall repair was performed in September 2014 on the vehicle.
