After restarting, the vehicle would not accelerate over 40 miles per hour. I had the vehicle inspected by the dealership, and they informed me that the engine oil filter contained metal debris.  The dealership explained that the presence of metallic particles in the filter could indicate internal engine wear or damage, and they recommended a full engine replacement at a cost of approximately $20,000.
