This is a known issue with this model, and several repair bulletins have been made about this specific issue. Certain VINs were given an extended warranty to fix this problem, but despite having this exact issue and my VIN being mentioned in the repair bulletin, my car is not covered, forcing me to pay out of pocket for this known issue.
