When activating the FAW alarm it immediately shuts off lane assistance and adaptive causing rapid deceleration. 3 times when it did this it slows so rapidly that cars behind have to swerve to miss making contact. One time a slight contact was made. There is not a way to disengage it, even when following genesis instructions to \"turn it off\" it remains active.   Gensis acknowledged complaints and looking at online forums shows this to be a growing safety problem.
