Yesterday, on September 05, 2025, I contacted Autonation Ford Miami and requested the required interim inspection and BCM check. The dealer provided me with a written refusal, stating they \u201cwill not be able to perform inspection on Recall 25C43 due to instructions for mechanic not available.\u201d  This is unacceptable because under 49 U.S.C. \u00a7 30120(c)(1), a manufacturer must remedy a defect \u201cwithout charge when the vehicle is presented for remedy.\u201d Ford\u2019s dealer communication of Aug 25, 2025 instructed dealers to inspect body seams and the BCM for water or corrosion, and replace the BCM if needed.  By refusing inspection, the dealer has left me driving a car at risk of safety-critical lighting failure. I am requesting that NHTSA enforce compliance so Ford dealers provide at least the required inspection and interim remedy immediately, rather than forcing customers to wait until 2026.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"FORD","productModel":"MUSTANG","manufacturer":"Ford Motor Company"}]}]}
