I see recalls for newer Edge models with same problem but not the 2011.  Second issue: sometimes the door ajar light is displayed on dash when doors are closed. Usually indicates driver door. Close several times and then it will finally work again. Has caused battery to run down in past if not caught before leaving vehicle.
