When the ESS battery fails it drains the main battery which then leaves the driver and its occupants at risk of being stranded.  The transmission is an electronic transmission and if the battery fails while driving that could compromise the occupants also.  We have had to have the battery replace twice and a third time tomorrow 9/21 if the dealership will \"fit\" us in.
